This month’s First Friday exhibit features the artwork of Haley Simone Potter, a painter, illustrator, and muralist working in Philadelphia.

Haley’s work explores the translation of live music into visuals through vibrant acrylic paintings and digital prints. Utilizing rhythm, pattern, and vibrating color palettes, her pieces collapse movement, time, and emotion into shape and chroma. Her latest explorations deconstruct figures in motion to their most basic elements, investigating compositions that push scale and perspective to further evoke the kinetic energy of live musical performance.

Potter’s “Energetics!” art exhibition will be on display through June. For the First Friday opening party, we’ll have DJ Minister Maestro courtesy of BierWax spinning tunes. Come take in the art and music on the waterfront!
