This month’s First Friday exhibit features the artwork of Ju Lee, a Brooklyn-based multidisciplinary artist and self-taught painter.
Most of the works were made in Lee’s building’s basement over the past year and a half. Each begins with an emotion and evolves through improvisation into psychological landscapes. The process is intuitive and physical—a way of translating feelings and memory into form.
Lee’s “Hey is for Horses” art exhibition will be on display through April. For the First Friday opening party, we’ll have a DJ courtesy of BierWax spinning tunes. Come take in the art and music on the waterfront!
