SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Owner Jason Sahler studied sustainable design and development at New York University and is passionate about incorporating sustainable practices into all aspects of the brewery. This core feature of the brewery is in its promotion of environmental sustainability by working with local producers and products and reducing waste in the production and retail of the brewery.
Whenever possible, Strong Rope Brewery will purchase energy-efficient equipment, incorporate green construction, and implement operational practices to minimize environmental impact. All of Strong Rope’s brewhouses are powered with electricity to help minimize the use of natural gas. Strong Rope Brewery will work with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) to improve energy efficiency in the manufacturing process of brewing and fermenting beer.
